Conceived from the collections of the museums, this exhibition offers the opportunity to discover or rediscover the exceptional figure of Victor Hugo. Thanks to a selection of objects, manuscripts, drawings and engravings, as well as extensive digital support, the audience is immersed in the fascinating universe of this creative genius. The author of Les Misérables was not only a great writer but a committed politician, a talented artist, draftsman, decorator and lover of Chinese art. The exhibition's design is built around Victor Hugo's life, allowing the visitor to discover an exceptional existence, evoking his exile in Guernsey until the state funeral that forever marked his era.
