2. Opening Hours of our Museums:

You may visit all of our museums from Tuesday to Sunday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. These hours may be extended for late-night openings. For more information please consult this page.

3. Prices and Discounts:

Individual Visitors’ Prices

  • Admission to the permanent collections is free of charge for all visitors to the City of Paris’s twelve museums, except for admission to the two heritage sites: the Paris Catacombs and the Archaeological Crypt of the Île de la Cité. 
  • An admission fee is charged for our temporary exhibitions. To find out the prices of our temporary exhibitions, please go to the page for the exhibition that you would like to visit.
  • To find out which categories of visitors are entitled to discounted or free admission, you can find details of the prices here.  

Group Visits

4. Proof of identity for admission to the museums and exhibitions:

When your ticket is checked as you enter temporary exhibitions, you may be asked for proof of your identity (ID card or other valid document).

6. Accessibility at our Museums:

Paris Musées undertakes to provide you with the best possible conditions for your visit. To find out whether the museum you would like to visit provides facilities for disabled people, here is the link for each museum that will enable you to find out whether it provides wheelchair access and other facilities: Paris Catacombs, Archaeological Crypt of the Île de la Cité, Balzac’s House, Victor Hugo’s House Paris – Hauteville House, Bourdelle Museum, Carnavalet Museum – History of Paris, Cernuschi Museum, City of Paris Asian Arts Museum,  Cognacq-Jay Museum, a taste of the 18th century, The Liberation of Paris Museum - General Leclerc Museum - Jean Moulin Museum, Museum of Romantic Life, Paris Museum of Modern Art, Zadkine Museum, Palais Galliera, City of Paris Fashion Museum, Petit Palais, City of Paris Fine Arts Museum.

7. Digital companion:

Certain museums can provide digital companion :

These digital companion come in two forms:

  • You may either rent a digital guide from reception at the museums. Members and other visitors can take advantage of a single tariff of € 5 that includes the tour of the permanent collections and exhibitions, where applicable.
  • Or you can download it on your mobile phone (App Store or Google Play Store). In the application, tours of the permanent collections are free, while tours of the exhibitions are available at the price of € 2.99 each.

8. Gift Card:

City of Paris Museums does not offer gift cards at the present time. Conversely, the Paris Musées Pass gives you unlimited access to and no queuing for the temporary exhibitions showing at City of Paris Museums (except the Paris Catacombs and the Archaeological Crypt of the Île de la Cité), as well as many other advantages besides. 9. Covid-19 Health Measures:

In accordance with directives from the French government and in order to guarantee optimal safety during your visit, City of Paris Museums has implemented health measures and new admission formalities.

► Your visit - Reserve a Ticket

1. How do I book online?

In accordance with directives from the French government and in order to guarantee optimal safety during your visit, City of Paris Museums has implemented health measures and new admission formalities. For this reason, booking a date and time slot to visit the temporary exhibitions is mandatory, including for holders of membership Paris Musées Pass (free to members). You can book your date and time slot here.  

2. How do I find out which slots are available?

When making your booking with the online ticket service, a coloured availability indicator is shown on the calendar. This allows you to find out which time slots are available for your visit.
- Green means that time slots are still available
- Orange means that only a few time slots are still available
- Red means that no time slots are available

When you select a time slot in red, you will be automatically referred to the next available date. Be careful to check the information regarding your chosen visit before you confirm your online purchase. Depending on these gauges and the success of the exhibitions, some time slots or dates may no longer be available for bookings. In such cases, we would ask you to select another time slot and date.

3. How do I set up an account on the Paris Museums online ticket service?

The internet account is your personal page on the Paris Musées ticket service. You can log on with your email address and any password you choose. It enables you to book time slots to visit our exhibitions and to make online purchases for the activities hosted by the museums. Your personal page also permits you to consult your subscriptions and purchase history. To find out how to set up an online account, please download the tutorial by clicking here.

Please note that it is possible to log on with your Facebook account without having to set up an online account on the ticket service to make online purchases.

4. How do I download and/or print my ticket?

You can log on to the ticket service website and enter your email address and your password to access your internet account. Once you have signed in to your personal page, click on “TICKETS” to the right of the page and then on “PRINT” or “REPRINT”.
Your tickets are displayed in a new tab in PDF format or are downloaded straight into your “Downloads” folder on your computer or telephone. These are the tickets that must be presented at the ticket check when entering the exhibition. You can consult the ticket download tutorial here.

 

5. I was unable to print my ticket:

When you make a purchase, you are given the file number and order number assigned to you. If you are unable to print or download your tickets, you will therefore need your file number to be able print them when you arrive at the check-in desk at our museums.
NB: the file number is shown only on confirmed transactions (once payment has been collected, you will receive an email in confirmation with the print link for your tickets). Your file number is shown on this confirmation of purchase.

14. How do I subscribe or unsubscribe to the newsletter?

6. What payment methods can I use?

 

On the internet:

Online payment is made in euros, by debit/credit card only. The debit/credit cards that we accept are VISA, MASTERCARD, American Express and e-Carte Bleue.

On site:

Tickets must now be paid for on the internet prior to your visit. At the check-in desks (group bookings, surcharges payable, etc), the payment methods accepted are: cash, cheque, debit/credit cards. We do not accept the following payment methods: grouped luncheon vouchers, culture vouchers, book tokens, holiday vouchers or Cadhoc vouchers.

7. Secure Payment:

3D-secure is a system that authenticates the identity of the holder of a payment card when making a purchase on the internet: after entering the number, the expiry date and the CVV number of your debit/credit card, you must enter a single-use code sent by your bank, usually by SMS, to confirm your payment. Please consult your bank for further details on the system used or if you experience difficulties with this step.

9. Can I cancel, change or get a refund on my order?

Ticket sales for a museum or services related to it are similar to the sale of leisure services and, pursuant to article L 121-21-8-12° of the French Consumer Code, do not entitle the purchaser to a withdrawal period, should he or she change his or her mind. Therefore the general terms and conditions of sale stipulate that such tickets may not be changed, modified or refunded if our museums are open to the public. It is therefore impossible to change your tickets.  The admission ticket is timestamped and does not permit you to visit the museum on another day or on the same day in another time slot. They are issued in your name and cannot be made over to a third person.

Exception: refund request as the result of the unscheduled closure of a museum
In the event of cancellation of the service or the unscheduled closure of part of a museum, the would-be visitor is entitled to a refund.  If your refund request concerns a malfunction, please write to us at: parismuseesquestions.billetterie@paris.fr. Please specify in your email: your file number, which exhibition your purchased the ticket for, the scheduled date of your visit and the email address used to make the purchase.

10. My account has been debited but I haven’t received my tickets:

First of all, you should consult your junk mail and spam folders. If you do not receive the email confirming the purchase just after paying for you order:

  • You can pick up your tickets at the museum check-in desk on the day of your visit. Please remember for bring your file number and proof of identity with you.
  • For any queries regarding printouts of tickets, you can write to: parismuseesquestions.billetterie@paris.fr

 

10. My account has been debited but I haven’t received my tickets:

First of all, you should consult your junk mail and spam folders. If you do not receive the email confirming the purchase just after paying for you order:

  • You can pick up your tickets at the museum check-in desk on the day of your visit. Please remember for bring your file number and proof of identity with you.
  • For any queries regarding printouts of tickets, you can write to: parismuseesquestions.billetterie@paris.fr

 

11. I’ve forgotten or had a problem with my password:

If you have a problem logging in to your personal page or have forgotten your password, go to the login for your personal page on the ticket service’s website. Click on “forgotten my password”, enter your email address and click on “send a new password”. An email with your new password will be sent to your address. It is very important that you check your junk mail folders. Please consult the help page to change your password by clicking here.

12. How are my personal data processed?

The personal data that you share with us are needed to successfully complete your transaction with Paris Musées. Keeping them on file also enables us to contact you whenever possible in the event of the cancellation or modification of the date or time of the event, activity or session purchased. In accordance with the French Data Protection Law of 6 January 1978 and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, you are hereby informed that the data collected during online sales transactions undergo processing for informative, relational or marketing purposes. Paris Musées alone has access to such information. The data thus collected will be kept for three years as of your last interaction with us. These personal data are processed based on your consent as expressed during the purchase process using the boxes to be ticked.  

You have a right of access, rectification or deletion of all such data concerning you. You may also request limitation or portability. You may withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise your rights, you may send us an electronic mail from the website’s contact page or send a letter to the public establishment, Paris Musées – 27 rue des Petites Écuries – 75010 Paris.
